Angels and Misdirected Rejoicing

Angels are warriors sent from God to fulfill His bidding. From shutting the mouth of a lion to protect Daniel to warning Joseph to leave before the Messiah is murdered, angels have obeyed God in the bible.
Angels are servants themselves, and we must not worship them. Don’t blur the lines of who you are rejoicing, because rejoicing in angels is idolatry.
One angel’s folly was self-rejoicing, desiring to usurp God. That angel was Satan. A single whim—an act of pride—to take God’s rightful place was how Satan was banished from heaven. If an angel was scorned by God for self-indulgence, we are assured that angels are not worthy of worship.
It is not up for debate on who should be glorified. Jesus is who we should worship because He is the Son of God and who the angels rejoice in.
“For to which of the angels did God every say,
‘You are my Son: today I have become your Father’?
Or again,
‘I will be his Father, and he will be my Son’?
And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,
‘Let all God’s angels worship him.’
...To which of the angels did God ever say,
‘Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet’?
—Hebrews 1:5-6,13 (NIV)
When you hear testimonies about angels, we are to take it as a story. The Word says our faith is not disqualified by raving stories of angels. We shouldn’t condone worshiping angels because of someone going on and on about it.
If you’ve ever heard a timeshare be pitched to you like I have, you know how they operate. You realize that the breakfast was just the reward to go. Then, after sitting down and enjoying the food, the scheme becomes about the “great location,” the “short shuttle to the amusement park.” I was even told that you can fit a family of seven in a two bedroom suite with a pull-out couch. Stretching the truth is how the story becomes a crowd-pleaser.
“Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with the idle notions by their unspiritual mind.” —Colossians 2:18 (NIV)
The destiny of angels is to glorify the Lord and answer to him. But the Son is mightier than the angels, and evil is driven out by his name. Glory to the Son, who conquered death, so that we have a chance for eternal life!
“Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.” —1 John 5:12 (NIV)
